Terms and Conditions

You have accessed a system managed by BT. Unauthorised access to or misuse of this system is prohibited and constitutes an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. If you disclose any information obtained through this system without authority BT may take legal action against you.

1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the voiceservices.bt.com
website ('Site'). BT may modify these Terms and Conditions from time to time and you are advised to keep up to date with any changes by regularly reviewing these Terms and Conditions. By using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

You may cancel your registration at any time by emailing us at voiceservices.bt.com. After your registration has been cancelled it will not be possible to use the login facility on the Site.

Any BT products and services available through the Site are covered by separate terms and conditions and prices. Orders for any products and services placed via the Site will be subject to the appropriate terms and conditions.

The Site may contain links to other BT sites or to third party sites which may be covered by separate terms and conditions.

Any links to third party websites from voiceservices.bt.com do not amount to any endorsement of that site by BT Wholesale and any use of that site by you is at your own risk.

Where BT has granted Administration Rights to a Customer, the Customer must ensure they have read and understood the additional terms and conditions relating to Administration Rights.

2. Access and Security

Completion of the online registration process is required to enable login to the Site.

You are responsible for the security and proper use of all user IDs and passwords used in connection with the Site (including changing passwords on a regular basis) and must take all necessary steps to ensure that they are kept confidential, secure, used properly and not disclosed to unauthorised people.

You must immediately inform BT if there is any reason to believe that a user ID or password has or is likely to become known to someone not authorised to use it or is being or is likely to be used in an unauthorised way.

BT reserves the right to suspend User ID and password access to the Site if at any time BT considers that there is or is likely to be a breach of security. You must immediately inform BT of any changes to the information you supplied when registering for the Site.

For security reasons, passwords must be changed every 60 days. Users ID’s will be disabled after 60 consecutive days of inactivity, and closed after 90 consecutive days of inactivity. User IDs must be closed promptly when no longer required.

Cookies
When you first visit voiceservices.bt.com you will be asked to confirm agreement to the use of certain types of cookies. If you click ‘Confirm’ to continue we will take this as your agreement to the use of these types of cookie. For more information on cookies see our Privacy Policy.

3. Use of the Site

This Site is a user interface; it is not designed for managing automated process such as macros and robots that input volume transactions over short periods of time. If you have a requirement to transact with BT Wholesale in this way, please contact your Account Manager.

If BT becomes aware that you are using the Site in this way, BT may suspend or block access to the Site or any area of the Site without notice.

The Site is for use by users in the United Kingdom only.

You must not permit or make any attempt to disassemble, deconstruct, break down, hack or otherwise interfere with the Site.

You must not use the Site:
(a) to gain unauthorised access to other computing systems;
(b) in any way that may damage, disable, overload or affect the operation of the Site;
(c) to solicit participation in public discussion, debate, comment or activity outside the Site;
(d) to provide false or misleading information about yourself or your business, or create a false identity;

General
(e) in contravention of any licence, code of practice, instructions or guidelines issued by a regulatory authority, third party's rights, or any BT guidance or policies;
(f) fraudulently or in connection with a criminal offence or in any way that is unlawful or in breach of any legislation and you must make sure that this does not happen; or
(g) to send, communicate, knowingly receive, upload or download any material or content that is offensive, abusive, indecent, defamatory, libellous,menacing,or that causes annoyance, inconvenience, needless anxiety or that is intended to deceive.

If BT reasonably believes that you have breached any of your obligations under the Terms BT may, without notice:
(a) suspend or cancel your registration;
(b) Suspend or block access to any area of the Site that doesn’t require registration.

The content of the Site is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights as applicable and is provided solely for your own use. Republication or redistribution of any of the content available on the Site, including by framing or similar means, is prohibited.

You will indemnify BT against all loss, damages, costs and expenses arising or incurred in respect of any actions, claims or legal proceedings which are brought or threatened against BT by a third party if the Site is used in breach of this paragraph 4. 

5. Availability

It is technically impracticable to provide a fault-free Site and BT does not undertake to do so. In the case of a fault BT will attempt to restore the Site as soon as is reasonably practicable. If a fault occurs in the Site you should report it to btwholesale.direct@bt.com.

Access to the Site may occasionally be suspended or restricted for operational reasons such as maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services.

If BT is informed of any inaccuracies in the material on the Site, BT will use reasonable endeavours to correct the inaccuracies as soon as reasonably practicable.

BT reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify, edit, delete, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Site (or any part of it) and/or the information, materials, products and/or services (or any part of them) available through the Site. 

6. BT's Liability

BT is not liable in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for loss whether direct or indirect of business, revenue or profits, anticipated savings or wasted expenditure, corruption or destruction of data or for any indirect or consequential loss resulting from your use of or inability to use the Site, or from your relying on the accuracy or completeness of the Site content.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions applies to BT's liability in respect of products sold under BT's standard product terms and conditions.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude BT's liability for personal injury or death caused by its negligence.

7. Advertising and Sponsorship

Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion on the Site complies with relevant laws and codes of practice. BT is not responsible for any error or inaccuracy in advertising and sponsorship material. 

8. Transfer of Rights and Obligations

You may not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions to another party. 

9. Waiver

If BT delays in acting upon a breach of these Terms and Conditions that delay will not be regarded as a waiver of that breach. If BT waives a breach of these Terms and Conditions that waiver will be limited to that particular breach.

10. Matters Beyond Our Reasonable Control

BT will not be liable for any breach of these Terms and Conditions caused by circumstances beyond BT's reasonable control.

11. Confidentially

You and BT will keep in confidence any information of a confidential nature obtained as a result of the use of the Site and will not disclose that information to any person other than their employees or professional advisers (or, in the case of BT the employees of a BT Group Company or their suppliers).

This paragraph 12 will not apply to:
(a) any information which has been published other than through a breach of these Terms and Conditions;
(b) information lawfully in the possession of the recipient before the disclosure took place;
(c) information which a party is requested to disclose which, if it did not it would be required by law to do so.
(d) Within the MyPage functionality the first and last names of users will be displayed to other users from within their company. 

12. Data Protection

BT will comply with its obligations under applicable data protection legislation and maintain all relevant registrations and notifications, for the purposes of operating the Site.

13. Virus Protection

You must take all reasonable steps to ensure that any software you use with or in connection with the Site is not infected by viruses.
BT will take all reasonable steps (including testing with the latest commercially available virus detection software) to ensure that any software used in connection with the Site is not infected by viruses.

14. Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed and the remainder of its provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Third Party Rights

A person who is not party to these Terms and Conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of these Terms or Conditions, but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act.
